Back to Features Written on 12-Aug-2009 by JohnstonPressBookworms picked up prizes as part of a project to get more people reading in Wearside’s libraries.
Throughout March, visitors were invited to fill out comment cards in all Sunderland libraries, with entries put into a prize draw.<
Nicolette Roberts, pictured, of Kayll Road, was the lucky winner, taking home a glass piece from the National Glass Centre, a family ticket to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Sunderland Empire and a Washington Wetland Centre family pass and goody bag.
Ten runners-up also received a family pass for Washington Wetland Centre and goody bags.
High-flier Bill Pearson, from East Herrington, won four VIP passes to this year’s Sunderland International Airshow.
He will have access to the event’s Hospitality Enclosure with a private viewing area, drinks reception, three-course lunch with wine, souvenir programme and afternoon tea.
